How to use

  1. Unfold the GloMat on a flat surface
  2. Connect the controller
  3. Select your timer setting (10–60 minutes)
  4. Lie directly on the mat or drape it over your body — skin contact or through light clothing both work
  5. Relax and let the light do its work

For targeted areas, 15–20 minutes per body area is recommended. For full-body sessions, 20–40 minutes daily delivers the best results. Use before or after movement, or as a standalone wind-down ritual.

The Science

Red and near-infrared light therapy — also known as photobiomodulation (PBM) — works at the cellular level. Specific wavelengths of light are absorbed by your mitochondria, stimulating ATP (cellular energy) production. This supports the body's natural ability to repair tissue, reduce inflammation, and regenerate cells.

The 660nm wavelength targets surface-level skin and muscle tissue, while 850nm near-infrared penetrates deeper into joints, tendons, and connective tissue. The direct contact a mat provides maximizes light absorption — more therapeutic photons reach your cells compared to panels used from a distance.

What is a red light therapy mat?
A full-body flexible LED device that delivers therapeutic wavelengths of red and near-infrared light directly to your skin while you lie down. Unlike panels you stand in front of, a mat allows passive full-body exposure during rest, yoga, or relaxation.

Can I use it during yoga or stretching?
Yes — the GloMat is designed to be used actively. The flexible three-layer construction moves with you and holds up to regular studio use.

Does it fold or roll?
It folds flat — making it easy to store under a bed, in a closet, or carry between rooms.

Can I clean it with Clorox wipes?
Yes — the PU outer layer is non-porous and fully compatible with Clorox and other disinfectant wipes. Ideal for studio and spa use between clients.

Do I need direct skin contact?
Direct skin contact maximizes absorption, but light clothing (cotton, no metallic fibres) still allows effective penetration.

How does it compare to the GloPod?
The GloPod delivers light from both sides simultaneously for a more intensive full-body session. The GloMat is single-sided, more portable, and designed for passive everyday use — on the floor, the couch, or in a studio or spa setting.

Is it safe to use every day?
Yes. Sessions of 20–40 minutes once daily are ideal. The built-in timer keeps sessions on track.
